Might be a hot take but Self Titled to Lightning Bolt are better. I really feel like Vitalogy-Yield wasn’t there best set of Albums. I haven’t done the bootlegs or Lost Dogs yet but I’ll get around to those. Not many standout tracks to me on this one. I didn’t really dig the eighties elements on this album but it wasn’t a bad listen. Superblood Wolfmoon has to be the most interesting song title they have. Sirens, Lightning Bolt, Sleeping By Myself, and Yellow Moon but there wasn’t a bad song here. I don’t understand the longtime fans who think they fell off. Started off with two energetic songs and I really liked Mind Your Manners (on repeat!) Whole album has a really tight sound.
Got Some, Just Breathe, Amongst The Waves, and Force Of Nature are my favorites on this one. World Wide Suicide had good energy but wasn’t as good as these.īackspace is my fourth favorite album. Life Wasted, Unemployable, Gone, Army Reserve, and Come Back all stand out tracks. I liked this one better than STP self titled. Coincidentally both have a song that borrows from Nirvana. The Self Titled Album was like listening to Stone Temple Pilots self titled.

I am Mine, You Are, and Half Full were my favorites here. But there were some songs that really nailed it.
Riot Act had all the energy I was hoping for from Binaural but not the lyrical genius of Yield or Vs. Despite my review I’d say that song is a good as anything they’ve done. Standout track on this one was Nothing As It Seems. Highlights for me were No Way, Given To Fly, Wishlist, Mfc, and In Hiding.īinaural didn’t have terrible songs but it was very subdued and left me wanting (needing) more visceral energy from it. Most songs were good-Do The Evolution could have been top of it weren’t for the growls. The songs I really enjoyed on this were Smile, Red Mosquito, Present Tense, and In My Tree

No Code seemed to push the boundaries of experimentation. And of course Better Man is still a top song. Nothingman, Not For You, and Immortality(but I wish they’d end this song a bit differently). Vitalogy was a more challenging Listen but had some big moments. Glorified G, Dissident, Rats, hitting all the high points Soundgarden - Matt Cameron is the drummer!!!įor me Vs.
